Temperature ”proxies”

Temperatures estimated from remnants in nature such as for example sea sediments or i ice cores are called temperature proxies. Temperature proxies can also originate from tree ring widths or historical record, or stalagmites etc.

The white graph ”11 multiproxies” represents results mentioned to the right (all peer reviewed).

Temperature proxies thus are created from a row of very different methods, but they have one thing in common: Data is not polluted by city heat. Above is shown the generally recognised most important proxies available shown together with the land (city) based GISS temperature graph. The deviation is well known and its called ”the divergence”. Again, “the decline” 1940-75 is confirmed in temperature proxies.
